Are machine slaughtered animals halal?
Question
We are very confused here in Canada about halal products. We learned here in madrasah when we were young that animals must be hand slaughtered. Here they are using machine and Isna have approved of it. My question is are machine slaughtered animals halal?

· The steps involved in the mechanical slaughter process in Canada and specifically in the plants you are making reference to.
· The names of the plants and organisations involved in the halāl industry.
· Contact details of the ulamā’ (scholars) involved.
· Contact details of a few local ulamā’ (scholars).
