”I have decided to bring this marriage to an end. I am therefore giving one Raj’i talaq”

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

If a person says:

”I have decided to bring this marriage to an end. I am therefore giving one Raj’i talaq”

Then one revocable divorce will take place. That means the couple can reconcile during the iddat period without having to renew the nikah.
