Is it allowed to marry ones cousin in Islam?

Question

1. I would like to know if I can marry my first cousin who is my mum’s older brother’s daughter. Also if it is recommended in Islam to get married to my cousin. Or if there is any Islamic teachings.

2. Also my other question will be that my older brother has got married to this girls older sister. Is it permissible for me to get married to my sister in-laws younger sister who is also my first cousin as describes above.

  1. It is permissible for you to marry your cousin sister.
  2. It is permissible for you to marry your sister-in-law’s sister.
