Is it permisible for us to keep pets at home?

Question

Such as fishes, birds, etc.? Is it okay if they are kept in a cage or an aquarium, etc.?

Answer

It is permissible to keep pets such as birds and fishes at home in cages and tanks respectively if one is able to fully take care of them. Was salaam Mufti E Desai Fatwa Dept.
