Naming my son Waleed

Question

I would like to name my son Waleed Bin Salman. Salman is my name. Is waleed a good name ? because the meaning of waleed is newborn. will this have any effect on him ?
Kindly advice me because i want my son's Son to be named Khalid Bin Waleed.

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Waleed means ‘new born’ and is a good name. It was also the name of a Sahabi (the brother of Khalid bin Waleed).
