A friend of mine holds shares in a israeli based company. Could you shed some light on weather this is allowed ?

The company is called GeoInteractive Media. at present the share price has been tumbling due to the conflict in the holy lands. due to this he is reluctant to sell these shares May Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala reward you well for your good work.

Answer

It is permissible to have shares in a non-Muslim (Jewish, etc.) company.
