while praying "Attahiyaat..." where should we be looking?

Question

i would like to know that while praying "Attahiyaat..." where should we be looking? at our index finger or on the Musallah? Jazakallah

Answer

In the sitting position in Salat, the gaze should be focused onto the lap, i.e. the area between the thighs. However, at the time of indicating with the index finger, one should look at the index finger. (Mirqaat vol.2 pg.264; Imdadiyah)
