Is it Makruh to fast on Fridays? Why?

Answer

It is Makrooh to single out Friday for fasting because the Hadith prohibits it. Rasulullah [Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam] said, ?Do not specify the day of Jumu?ah for fasting from amongst the other days.? (Muslim)
