What is the significance of making dua before iftar? Is it sunnah? Provide hadith(s) please.

Answer

Yes, it is Sunnah.

Rasulullah [Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam] mentioned that the du?aa of a fasting person at the time of Iftaar is not rejected. (al-Targhib)
