My company is sending me to Iraq for a project. Can I go and work there? I am a Muslim? Will this income be halal for me?

i'm living in london and i work for this company and now they've got this project from the clients for which we have to send people to Baghdad to do this work.So I wanted to knw if I can go and work their from this company and will this income be halal for me?

Answer

It is permissible for you to go and work for your company in Iraq on condition the work is not against the laws of the Shari?ah.

The income earned from this will be Halaal. You should also take into consideration the political climate in Iraq when making a decision.
