What is the judgement on working for as a cashier in a store like Walmart or kroger where it is almost impossible for a cashier to avoid holding a bottle or pack of alcohol inorder to scan it.

Answer

If the major income of the store is not alcohol, then it will be permissible to work there, but at the same time you should try your best to avoid scanning alcohol. (Fataawa Mahmoodiyah vol.13 pg.399)
