Is it allowed to marry your mother’s cousin?

Question

I am a young female (15 years) and I really, really like my so called ?uncle? (25 years). And is my mother?s real uncle (her mother?s brother) my mahram?...Jazakallah.

Answer

Your mother?s cousin (your cousin Uncle) is not your Mahram. It is permissible to marry him.

Your maternal grandmother?s brother (mother?s mother?s brother) is your Mahram. You cannot marry him.
