Where must one dorn the Ihram when going for Hajj or Umrah from South Africa. On the plane when the Meeqat announcment is made or can one dorn the Ehram at Jeddah.

Answer

It is permissible to don the Ihraam at Jeddah. However, according to some
Ulama, Jeddah is in the Meeqaat and the Ihraam should be donned before that.

Therefore, it is advisable to exercise precaution and don the Ihraam before
Jeddah.
