I work for a company which has a funeral cover for all employees, what it means is that when I passaway everything is paid for. When I pass what must my family do with the money ?

I work for a company which has a funeral cover for all employees, what it means is that when I passaway everything is paid for. The company pays for it and nothing comes out of my salary.Its a benefit. When I pass what must my family do with the money ?

Answer

The company is giving your heirs a gift at the time of your demise. It is permissible for the family to take benefit of the gift. This applies only if there is no voluntary contribution on your part.
