I have been chosen by my company to travel to Argentina Bueno Aires during the holy month of Ramadaan for 5 days from the 29/10/2003. Is it permissable for me to travel & do I have to fast ?

Answer

In principle, it is permissible for one to undertake a journey in the month of Ramadhaan and fasting will not be obligatory.

However, he is at liberty to fast. It is commendable for him to fast if he can manage. (Shaami bol.2 pg.461)
