Fatwa #950618 September 2003South Africa

I understand from the Shaafis when they are taking a Ghusal bath they are required to cover their Satar. Is this for Hanafis too?

Answer

According to the Hanafi and Shaafi'ee Madhab, it is not required to cover
the Satr (area of concealment) when taking a bath. Obviously, that is when a
person is in total privacy.
