Can you please tell me about the validity of pictures in islam; whatever type they are of.

Question

Can we watch news on tv..pictures of jungle dogs..etc..which do not lead to zina in anyway..and leads to scientific discoveries.should there not be any existence of tv in islamic world!is it haraam to talk with classmates who are girls.

Answer

1. Pictures and decorations depicting animate objects are not permissible immaterial of the substance it is made of. (Raddul Muhtaar vol.1 pg.647)

2. It is Haraam (strictly prohibited) to talk with classmates of the opposite gender.
