Does Islam allow us to eat food or drink water after having intercourse?

Question

Assalam alaikum Suppose if husband and wife are feeling hungry or thirsty after having intercourse, can they eat food or drink water without taking bath or they have to take bath first and then they have to eat food or drink water? This question is running in my mind since from many days. Require your desperate help Jazakallah for answering my questions. Allah Hafiz

Answer

To eat or drink, after intercourse, before rinsing one?s mouth is Makrooh. However, if the mouth is rinsed, it will be permissible to eat or drink before taking a bath.
