Which finger is the most preferred for wearing a ring by a male? b) Is white gold or Silver rings permissible for men?

Please help with the following (a) Which finger is the most preferred for wearing a ring by a male? (b) Is white gold or Silver rings permissible for men? (c) What about immitation White Gold or Silver? (d) Finally, Are we allowed wear a ring on the (western) Wedding Finger in order to inform that we are married and to avoid fitnah?

Answer

1. The small finger of the left hand is the most preferred finger for a
ring.
2. Only pure silver or pure silver plated rings are permissible for men.
Imitation silver and white gold are not permissible.
3. Yes, it will be permissible. (Alamgiri vol.5 pg.334)
