Please provide the Du’aas to protect oneself and his/her family from the Azaab (torment) of Sakaraat?

Also kindly provide the English translation, and the Source of these Du?aas if taken from Ahadeeth.

Answer

Sayyidatuna Aaisha (Radhiallaahu Anha) narrates that I saw Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) whilst he was in his last illness, he had a utensil of water near him and he used to immerse his hand into the utensil and then wipe his face with the water.

Then Nabi (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) used to make this Du?aa, ?Allaahumma a-inniy alaa ghamaraatil mawt wa sakaraatil mawt.? (O Allah, assist me against the difficulties and agonies of death). (Tirmidhi vol.1 pg.192; HM Saeed)
