I have been told that Martin Lings book, "Muhammad - His Life Based on the Earliest Sources" is a good book. 1. Can you please advise me on use of this book.

I am interested in Seerah of the The Prophet SAW. There are many books out there, but I am scared to just read anything. Recently I have been told that Martin Lings book, "Muhammad - His Life Based on the Earliest Sources" is a good book. 1. Can you please advise me on use of this book. 2. Ling's uses Waqidi's Al Maghazi as a source for his work. Is Waqidi a reliable source ?
