permissibility of winning prizes and insurance questions

Question

We recieved a letter through the post which said that we had won a prize and to call a number. We called the number and had won a prize, the call cost £5 is this prize valid? 2. is it permissible to hold fully comprhensive insurance when 3rd party is available ata a lower price?

Answer

1. If the winning of the prize was not subjected to making a telephone call,
then it is permissible to accept the prize.
2. Third party insurance is not permissible.
