I have been told that it is Haraam to eat food with a fork or knife. Is this true???

Question

Is it permissable to eat eg. a big piece of steak, or meat etc, by cutting with knife in right hand and eating with fork with right hand.

Answer

It would be permissible, but contrary to the Sunnah as Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) used to eat with his hands (3 foyers).

However, if the type of food is such that it could only be eaten with a fork, then there would be no harm.
