Should a man help an old lady cross the street? Is this halaal even though he would be touching a non-mahram woman?What about helping a woman on the street with carrying a heavy item(s)?
Answer
If the lady is very old and she requires assistance to cross the street, etc. a man may assist her if there is nobody else to assist and there is no fear of Fitnah (temptation).
We reiterate, this only applies to a very old woman who requires his assistance.
