Fatwa #81411 September 2000Pakistan

I have heard that when someone commits adultery, and then they take their punisment i.e (stoned to death), their sin will be forgiven.

Answer

Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, 'Allah is more merciful than punishing a person twice for a crime.'

Therefore, punishment in this world will be an atonement for his sin, Insha Allah.

And Allah Taãla Knows Best.

Was salaam
