Can marriages be performed in Muharram month? Can you please clarify in the light of Sunnah.

Question

I work in saudi arabia, the vacation is once a year, and i came down for a two month vacation for performing BAKRID. Now that as the muharram month is nearing, we are skeptic of this auspicious occassion be performed or not. Please clarify me.

Answer

It is permissible to marry during the month of Muharram. There is absolutely nothing wrong in doing so. There is no reason for being sceptical to marry in Muharram.
