Disposing of hair and nails...Why is that we're supposed to bury our hair and nails -- is this from hadith?

Question

Why is that we're supposed to bury our hair and nails -- is this from hadith? If so, can you provide the hadith or explain?

Answer

Allah Ta?ala granted us this body which is an Amaanat (trust).

We may not do anything to this body as we wish. It is out of respect and honour the hair and nails (being part of the body) are buried. We cannot recall any Hadith on this subject.
