What does the Imam say regarding a hadith about seeking knowledge even if it be in China. Is it a confirmed Hadith? Many scholars have disputed it yet so many are using it.

Answer

The Hadith is weak (Kashful Ilaahi pg. 101)

According to the principles of Hadith, a weak Hadith can be used for
Fadhaail, especially, when there are other Ahaadith in support of the
meaning of the weak Hadith.
