Is it permissible to claim UIF? When a person is employed, it is compulsory for them to pay towards the governments Unemployment Insurance Fund.

When a person is employed, it is compulsory for them to pay towards the governments Unemployment Insurance Fund. If a person who was paying towards the fund is now unemployed, is it permissible to claim from this fund? Is the money received from such a fund halaal?

Answer

Yes, it is permissible to claim from this fund.
