Will u be punish if u do not give beggars money?
Question
My reason for not giving them money is that they buy liquor, drugs or even gamble with the money u give them. Thus I think they waste the money that u could have given towards the mosque, some people u know needs it , etc... Will u be punish if u do not give beggars money?
Answer
It was the noble practice of our prophet (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) that he never refused a beggar. Infact, in many ahadith nabi (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) encourages us to never refuse a beggar even tough offering a slice of bread.
However if you are positive that the beggars will abuse the charity,we suggest do not offer them cash rather offer something in kind like food items etc.
