A) Is it permissible to use lipstick containing ‘Cetyl Alcohol’ ? B) What is your view regarding the reading of books such as Harry potter?
Answer
1. If the ?cetyl? alcohol is syenthetic and the lipstick does not contain any other Haraam ingredient, then a female may apply lipstick. The lipstick should not form a paste that water cannot penetrate through. In such a situation, the Wudhu will not be valid.
2. It is Haraam (strictly prohibited) to read books such as Harry Potter.
