Question

i have recently just got married to a sister who was divorced, and now her ex-husband is harrassing her over and over again...and just recently time has come to that he is starting to threaten her and he also tells her that he will hurt me (which i laugh at)..so my question is, even tho he is muslim, can i fight if time comes to defend myself or my family? if not what should i do?

Answer

Since you are from the US, use the law of the land for you and your family's
protection.

Obtain a court order that prohibits him from making contact with you or your
family, and saves you from any harassment.
