Fatwa #60424 August 2002United States of America

With ref. to Q5988, how does one define ‘normal’ time zone? In UK Isha is at 12 am, and Fajr at 2 am, would that be considered normal or Makkah? Further up North, Isha and Fajr are back to back.

Answer

Since there is sufficient time for Esha Salaat, it will be regarded as
'normal', i.e. there is no need to adopt the time of another town.
