a) should we pray nafawil during the day in 2 rakahs (with one salaam) or in 4 rakahs (with one salaam) e.g. Chasht b) what about the nafawil at night? what is recommened (mustahab) and what is permissible? c) how many Rakahs are there in Ishraaq Salah ..2 or 4?
Answer
1. Both are correct. However, according to Imaam Abu Hanifa (RA), it is best
to perform Nawaafil in sets of four Rakaats each. This applies both to the
night and day time.
2. You may perform 2 or 4 Rakaats of Ishraaq. Both are correct and
established from the Ahaadith.
