Please conclude as to whether smoking is Haram, Makruh Tanzihi or Makruh Tahrimi.

Question

Can the classification of smoking change or be different according to different individuals & circumstances?

Answer

In principle, smoking is not permissible. The degree of prohibition is
Makrooh.

It is possible that a ruling may differ in relation to an individual and
circumstances.
