It is okay to offer Salat closing eyes ?

Question

Assalamu Alaikum, While offering Salat, some of my friends keep their eyes closed. They say that they get more concentration due to that. Please explain the matter in details with related Hadiths. Wasslam Mahbub Abbas

Answer

It is Makrooh (reprehensible) to close the eyes during Salaat. In order to
concentrate in Salaat, one may semi-close the eyes.
