Is it Makrooh (detested) to have sex during certain parts of the day or during certain days of the year?

Answer

It is stated in the Ihyaa that it is undesirable to indulge in sex during
three nights of the lunar calendar, viz. the first, the fourteenth and the
last night. This has been mentioned by Hadhrat Abu Hurayra, Hadhrat Ali and
Hadhrat Muawiya (Radhiallaahu Anhum).

The author of Rifaatul Muslimeen states that in addition to the above,
Wednesday night (Islamically Tuesday night) and the night preceding the two
Eids should be avoided. The night preceding a journey should also be
avoided.
