Dua' in Islam = Tawakul + Bathl Al jouhd In the case of women in islam, how are we supposed to get married? A woman cannot look for a man, can she?

Question

For example, a man can look for a woman. A woman can't. What's the verdict on answering marital ads? Especially when the parents arent aware of it? The sister is planning to tell them as soon as she is comfortable with the brother. She knows proper ISLAMIC manners.

Answer

A woman may search for a husband and propose to him. This should, however,
take place following proper Islamic etiquettes.
