Will the following constitute divorce?

Question

if a man jokingly says to his wife things like: I am going to send you back, will this constitute divorce? The man never mentions the word divorce nor has the intention of divorcing his wife.

Answer

The statement, 'I am going to send you back', does not constitute divorce.
However, the man should avoid joking in such a way.
