Asalamu alaykum, is it haram to use medicaid (government assistance) for childbirth since it cost $8,000 to $9,000 dollars, do you have to qualify to use it?

Answer

It is permissible to benefit from the assistance of the government for any
personal benefit, for example, childbirth, etc.
