Fatwa #51428 March 2002Singapore

Urgent please.I read in one hadist that if the wind is not smell, and no voice then no need to repeat wudhu', please give explaination. jazakallhu khair.

Question

I live in Singapore where almost every where people use air conditioner (AC), so it will make a cold condition. If I feel cold then I will fart oftenly and of course it will cause problem when I want to pray. and I also still confuse with the hadist, please give explaination, Insya Allah. jazakallahu khair

Answer

We are unaware of such a Hadith. If wind comes out, then the Wudhu breaks.
This does not differ whether the wind smells or not.
