Asslamo-Alykum: An Imam had a sexual encounter with a woman. Later he performed her Nikah with another man who did not know this. Is the Nikah valid?

Answer

The Nikah is valid. Both the Imam and the woman in question must make
immediate Taubah (Repentance) and resolve never to indulge in the crime of
Zina (adultery) in future.
