What is the story behind the origin of the Black Stone, Hajre Aswat?When was it place by the Kaaba, and by whom? Is it true that it has turned black absorbing the sins of Muslims?

According to the Hadith, Hadhrat Abdullah ibn Abbaas (Radhiallaahu Anhu)%0D%0Anarrates that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, 'Hajr-e-Aswad%0D%0A(the black stone) was revealed from Jannat and it was whiter than milk.%0D%0AThereafter, the sins of man had blackened it.' (Tirmidhi vol.1 pg.166; HM%0D%0ASaeed)%0D%0A%0D%0AIn another Hadith, Abdullah ibn Amr (Radhiallaahu Anhu) says, 'I heard the%0D%0Amessenger of Allah saying, 'Verily the Rukn (Hajr-e-Aswad) and the Maqaam%0D%0A(Ibraahim) are two precious stones from amongst the precious stones of%0D%0AJannat. Allah Ta'ala took away its Noor (light). Had Allah not taken away%0D%0Aits light then these two would have brightened up the east and west.' (Ibid)%0D%0A%0D%0AAccording to some narrations, the Hajr-e-Aswad was originally placed in its%0D%0Aplace by Jibraaeel (Alayhis salaam) and Ibraahim (Alayhis salaam) had built%0D%0Athe Ka'abah upon it.'
