Assalam-O-Alaikum, Mufti Sahib.Please Answer my Question about My father killing my younger brother.
Question
Dear mufti Sahib, My father Stabbed my younger brother on Dec 25th 2001. He is in jail now. We don't want him in the family back. I still love him, but I don't want to do with him anymore in my life. Please tell me what should I do? My mother and all of don't like the way he was and his behaviour toward us He always beated us and our mother, now he did that . Please help us to do anything wrong.
Answer
Your father, irrespective of the heinous crime he committed, is after all,
your father. He is the source of your presence in this world.
As a father, he deserves your respect, kindness and support. Overlook his
errors and attempt to patch up with him. In fact, Islam demands cordial
relations even with our non-Muslim relatives. Visit your father as
frequently as possible. Support him in this trying time.
