DEMISE OF MUFTI EBRAHIM DESAI SAHIB [RAHIMAHULLAH]

As-salāmu ʿalaykum wa-raḥmatullāh wa-barakātuh.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mufti Ebrahim Desai Ṣāḥib (may Allah have mercy on him) on the blessed night of Jumuʿah and in the blessed days of Dhū al-Ḥijjah.

Mufti Ṣāḥib will be remembered for his deep academics, balanced spirituality, and impeccable manners. Anyone who interacted with Mufti Ṣāḥib was impressed by him, and millions of people worldwide have benefited from him. Mufti Ṣāḥib has left behind great sources of perpetual charity (ṣadaqa jāriya) through his answers on AskImam.org and through the hundreds of students who have had the privilege of studying under him.

We request the community to remember Mufti Ṣāḥib, his family, students, and all those who loved him in their supplications.

We make duaa that Allah Ta’ala in His infinite mercy grant Mufti Sahib complete maghfirah, and give him the highest abode in Jannah; Jannatul Firdaws. Aameen.
