Hazrat Mufti Ebrahim Desai Saheb Madda Zilluhu wrote the following foreward for the website.
May Allah crown the sacrifices of Mufti Ismaeel Bassa with Qubuliyyat Ameen.

Foreword by Mufti Ebrahim Desai Saheb
In this era of technological advancement, the cyberspace plays an important role in our daily lives.
It has a potential to influence the mind and leave a long lasting digital footprint and impression on a person.
As Muslims, our endeavours ought to be to establish footprints and impressions for our eternal salvation.
Allah Ta'ala says,
وَنَكْتُبُ مَا قَدَّمُوا وَآثَارَهُمْ ۚ
سورة يس:١٢
"And we will write whatever they have sent forth and (we will record) their footprints." (Surah Yaseen:12)
One of the best forms of investments for the hereafter is leaving long lasting footprints and impressions of Islamic knowledge that influence people towards good.
Rasullullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam said
" إِذَا مَاتَ الإِنْسَانُ انْقَطَعَ عَنْهُ عَمَلُهُ إِلاَّ مِنْ ثَلاَثَةٍ إِلاَّ مِنْ صَدَقَةٍ جَارِيَةٍ أَوْ عِلْمٍ يُنْتَفَعُ بِهِ أَوْ وَلَدٍ صَالِحٍ يَدْعُو لَهُ "
صحيح مسلم: ١٦٣١
"When a person passes away, all his actions terminate except three actions;
acts of perpetual reward,
knowledge through which people benefit,
and a pious child that makes dua for the parents." (Sahih Muslim:1631)
It is pleasing to note that Muhtaram Mufti Ismaeel Bassa Saheb has launched a Fatwa and Educational website TheMufti.com
Mufti Ismaeel Bassa Saheb is my student and serves as the in-house Mufti for the Jamiatul Ulama KZN Fatwa Department.
His Fatwas and various educational postings are a clear manifestation of his sound academic capabilities.
He has mastered the art of applying Juristic principles in practical realities of life that give effect to a moderate conclusion without negligence and extremism.
I am hopeful the website TheMufti.com will greatly influence the cyberspace in the field of Fatawa and leave a permanent footprint of Allah consciousness and obedience to Allah and His Rasul as expounded by the illustrious Fuqaha.
It is my heartfelt Dua that Allah accept the noble efforts of Mufti Ismaeel Bassa Saheb and make the website TheMufti.com a beacon of light for the Ummah and a Sadaqah-e-Jaariyah for him. Ameen.
