Intermittent Vaginal Discharge

Question

I have an intermittent vaginal discharge which is white to yellowish in colour. It is not offensive smelling or itchy and is not a medical problem. I do not qualify as a mazoor as it is intermittent.

I have to break my salaah a number of times to remake my wudhu until I manage to complete the salaah without discharge. This is extremely difficult, especially with taraweeh salaah.

I am an unmarried girl, thus it is too painful to use a tampon to prevent the discharge. I can only manage to place a cotton wool between the inner labia. Is there any way I can keep my wudhu for longer because I fear that I will rush my salaah and stop reading my sunnah salaah due to the difficulty of multiple wudhus for one salaah.

The difficulty you are facing will be a means of reward for you. Please see the following fatwa for a detailed answer to your question regarding discharge. It should be noted that placing cotton wool between the inner labia will not prevent one’s wudhu becoming invalidated in the case of discharge.[1] Sister, you mention that you have to break your salaah a number of times and re-make your wudhu to complete your salaah without discharge.
