What should I do if I had a wet dream on the plane?
Question
Asamualaikum Maulana. There is no practical facility to do ghusl or no surface to do tayyamum on a plane. I was taking a flight from Dallas to New York and had a wet dream on the plane. If I wait till I get off the plane the salat will be missed. What do you advise?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
A person who has a wet dream on a plane when he cannot make ghusl or tayammum, he will perform his ṣalāh by only imitating the postures of ṣalāh. He will not recite anything in ṣalāh. Subsequently, he must make qaḍā’ of the ṣalāh performed on the plane as soon as he attains purity.[1]
