Is it okay to cut nails in a state of Janābah?
Question
Is it permissible to cut my nails when I am impure? My grandmother told me it is not allowed.
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
It is makrūh tanzihi to cut the nails in a state of impurity (janābah). [1]
