Kaffarah for dropping the Quran

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

The Quran is the Kalam of Allah Ta’ala. It deserves one’s utmost respect and honour. If one unintentionally drops the Mushaf, he should seek forgiveness (Istighfaar) due to his negligence and exercise caution when handling the Quran in the future.[1]
